Tonight I’m going out for weekend holiday. Well my parents are also going with me so I decided to go for religious trip to Madurai, Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari. Main attraction will be Meenakshi temple in Madurai, Holy bath in 22 wells at Rameshwaram, and Sunrise in Kanyakumari.
I’ll not have internet connection during this trip. I will be back on Monday 27th Morning. It will be going to be a hectic weekend for me but I’ll enjoy for sure.

i have booked the train tickets from bangalore to madurai, from madurai to rameshwaram.
Can u pls suggest me how to reach kanyakumari from rameshwaram
and which are the good places, hotels to stay. do send me phone numbers if possible.

I haven’t seen any good hotel near Rameshwaram… From Kayanakumari it is around 8-9 hour road journey. So I would suggest you to stay in Madurai , which is again 8-9 hours by road but you can get Bus or train service. You can spend a night in Madurai and take or a package to Rameshwaram. Normally mandir is open till 1 PM (Not remember the exact time) so you will have to leave Madurai in the morning around 7-8. It is 4-5 hours journey to Rameshwaram from Madurai.

how long this journey is and how much time will it take ?

Kanyakumari is around 8-9 hours journey by Road. I’m not sure if you get any vehicle there in Rameshwaram.

You can hire a taxi or you can find regular bus services to Kanyakumari. It is around 300-325KM from Rameshwaram so Bus will take approximate 9-10 hours. Delux bus service is available from Madurai but not sure if it is also available from Rameshwaram.

Another coincidence one of my relation is also planning to visit rameshwaram and kanyakumari , they will leave from bangalore . Do you have any info about the package tour connecting all three places . if Yes pl provide .Also it will be great to know more about u. regards . Atul
